STEM Activity Club Manager

Part-time · Term-time only · Northamptonshire

Northamptonshire

Primary Coding Clubs is looking for a warm, enthusiastic STEM Activity Club Manager to lead our lunchtime and after-school clubs for primary-aged children in Northamptonshire.

About the role

This is a hands-on role running fun, practical sessions for children aged 8 to 11, from coding and robotics to LEGO builds and creative STEM challenges.

You don't need to be a tech expert. Coding is one part of what we do, not all of it, and we'll teach you everything you need. What matters most is your energy, your willingness to learn, and how well you engage and inspire children.

What you'll do

  • Lead engaging lunchtime and after-school STEM and activity club sessions
  • Set up and pack down equipment, keeping sessions running smoothly
  • Create a warm, inclusive and well-managed space where every child thrives
  • Celebrate children's progress with our pin badges, certificates and log books

What we're looking for

  • Experience working with children in a structured setting. Teaching assistants, teachers, sports coaches, after-school or activity club staff, scout leaders and similar backgrounds are all a great fit
  • Real enthusiasm, a willingness to learn, and a knack for engaging children
  • Strong behaviour management, warmth and patience with primary-aged children
  • Reliability and good communication
  • A clean UK driving licence (you'll travel between club sites)
  • An enhanced DBS check, or willingness to get one

Nice to have, but not essential

  • Any experience with coding, STEM or hands-on creative activities
  • Comfort with simple tech troubleshooting

What you'll get from us

  • Full training in our sessions, so you can deliver them confidently
  • Safeguarding and child protection training
  • All the equipment, resources and session plans you need
  • Term-time only hours, so your holidays follow the school calendar
  • Direct support from our founder, a former Head of Computing

Hours and location

Part-time, term-time only. Sessions run at lunchtimes and after school. Our clubs take place in primary schools across Northamptonshire and at our HQ in Brackley, so you'll need to be able to travel between sites.

About Primary Coding Clubs

We're more than just a coding club. Children earn pin badges and certificates as they learn, and parents can follow their progress in our log books. Primary Coding Clubs is part of Primary Coding League CIC, a not-for-profit community interest company working to give every primary-aged child the chance to enjoy coding and STEM.

How to apply

Fill in the short application form below. It takes about five minutes, and you don't need a CV. Because this role involves working with children, an enhanced DBS check is required.
